FAQ about Chicks N Chaps™ - CNC

What is it?

Chicks N Chaps™ is a Women's Only Rodeo Clinic during any PRCA Rodeo that chooses to participate. You’ll get to spend time with real Cowboys and Cowgirls learning how to rope, ride the buckin’ machine, or get a tour of the bucking chutes.  You will get a basic tutorial of the 7 events of professional rodeo.

What do I get for participating?

A really fun afternoon with your girlfriends! You’ll spend about 1 or 2 hours in the rodeo arena with the Cowboys and Cowgirls. You will also have full access to your own private "8 Second Saloon" for beverages and food.  In addition, you will have your own VIP seating during the CNC event and the rodeo that is aptly titled, "The Chick Pit”.  You will also receive a t-shirt for registering and a gift bag full of some wonderful items, including the latest fun clothing from Wrangler.   Registration also includes your ticket to the rodeo that night.

Where does the money go?

All proceeds raised from any Chicks n Chaps™ event will stay in the local community to directly benefit breast cancer patients and their families.  Chicks n Chaps™ is passionate about helping those directly afflicted by breast cancer.

What do I wear?

Anything that is comfortable for you. We do not recommend flip flops, as you are in the dirt. You can cowgirl up with boots and jeans, or wear shorts. We don’t care, and neither does anyone else. Comfort is the key.

How long does it last?
A typical Chicks n Chaps™ clinic lasts about 1 or 2 hours.  Sometimes there will be a Rodeo Performance after the clinic that you will also be invited to attend.  If so, the rodeo will last an additional 2 or 3 hours.

Will there be live animals?

You’ll be near the rodeo holding pens, but you won’t be required to get on any live animals. We’ll have the mighty bucky if you want to give that a try, but it’s not mandatory. This clinic is about having fun, learning what rodeo is all about, and spending the day with girlfriends raising awareness and money in the battle against breast cancer.
